Have you ever been told that your dreams are TOO big?  Or that they are unrealistic, and will never support you or your family?  I HAVE.  I let this hold me back for a while, but no longer.  God has given me a heart and a burden for the broken, specifically the young girls and women who have been victims of sex trafficking.  

By October 2020 "A New Babe" will be the logo incorporated into bracelets. October will be the first “drop” including two bracelet designs.  The lotus flower (symbolizing rebirth) will be featured in jewelry pieces.  My dream is that this will not only benefit our local organizations and group homes here in Atlanta , but be a way to raise awareness throughout all of America.  

To define sex trafficking.  Sex trafficking is a form of modern slavery that exists throughout the United States and globally.  Sex traffickers use violence, threats, lies, debt bondage, and other forms of coercion to compel adults and children to engage in commercial sex acts against their will (The Polaris Project 2017). 

When we think about issues like sex trafficking, they are so overwhelming to us that we do not know how to help or even comprehend that this is happening in our everyday world.  Here in Atlanta, it is one of our greatest issues.  According to the Polaris Project (in 2014), the sex trafficking industry earned a revenue of $290 Million- more than the gun trade, and even the drug trade that year!  And it is only getting worse.  But how do we stop this secretive and detrimental industry?

After much prayer and support from the ones I love I am chasing my dreams and following the guidance and wisdom of The Lord.  This blog will not only be a platform to raise awareness for the horrid world of sex trafficking, it will be a place to purchase items & the proceeds will be given directly to local Atlanta organizations and homes for these young women!
